French Classics started as a passion for Olivier Houiller, collecting Classic Citroen cars and restoring them to a new life. Since 1999, our company has developed into one of the leading Classic Citroen Specialists in the UK, with a particular focus on the DS. 

This interest stems from Olivier’s French background, having grown up in the North of France and the French Alps. He was surrounded by the French cars of the day and became a fervent admirer of the Citroen DS. At the time, during the Sixties and Seventies, Citroen was one of the most popular car brands in France, however it always stood out from the crowd as being considered ‘quirky’ and different. 

With that appreciation and enthusiasm for bringing classic Citroen cars back to life, Olivier travelled throughout France and further beyond, sourcing those hidden Citroen treasures. It is not uncommon for these cars to sometimes be found in a garage or barn, occasionally with the original paperwork – and always with a story to tell.

Olivier’s focus is on some of Citroen’s most iconic models such as the Traction, 2CV, DS, SM, HY Van, GS and CX… it is no wonder Citroen is one of the most collected automobile brands in the world !
